I’ll Put You Where the Trombone Slides is the debut album. Many years in the making, it is a celebration of resilience and determination.
Where do you put the unresolved? Where do you put the memories of the people, the love and pain? I want to throw a rope around it and haul it around as much as I want to set it on fire and be free. I like the idea that this heavy weight of emotion is perpetually suspended in the act of the trombone being played. It’s quite a surreal thought, but it’s comforting to me. There are no trombones on this album, so if you’ve come here looking for brass, i’m not your girl.

The debut EP, Whatever You Feel I Do Too was released on OK PAL Records in 2020. Over the course of the record, sweet, melodic song-writing meets soupy harmonies and synths. A kind of bedroom-pop that is as personal as it is strong-willed and outward facing.

Norfolk-born Hailey Beavis is a songwriter and artist living in Edinburgh.
